A cognitive disorder characterized by an impaired ability to comprehend written and printed words or phrases despite intact vision. This condition may be developmental or acquired. Developmental dyslexia is marked by reading achievement that falls substantially below that expected given the individual\'s chronological age, measured intelligence, and age-appropriate education. The disturbance in reading significantly interferes with academic achievement or with activities of daily living that require reading skills. (From DSM-IV) 不能认识和理解书写的或印刷的字词、符号、字母或色彩。是由不能识别视觉信号的语言含义所致。它与大脑优势半球内侧枕额脑回损害有关，并因累及视觉放射可致同侧偏盲。失读症常与失写症一起作为视觉性说示不能的症状。 失读症，或称阅读障碍，是描述在智力无缺损的状况下，对于阅读和书写文字具有困难的症状。症状的严重程度因人而异。其他的症状包括难以拼出单字，难以快速朗读字词、无法专注阅读、难以连续书写、无法言说脑中的字汇，或是无法理解阅读的内容。这些症状最先往往在学校时发现。这些读写上的困难，并不是失读症者自己可以控制的，失读症者对于学习也是有所渴望。 |
