Definitions

The lesions observed incalcinosis cutis are firm papules, plaues, or nodules that have a whitish or yellowish color. Lesions may be solitary but it is more common to observe multiple lesions. The lesions may develop ulceration with a discharge of a chalk-like substance. The lesions can be painful, espcially if they are located on the fingertips. Lesions at other sites may limit joint mobility or stiffen the skin. Deposition of calcium in the skin.
