user-description |
DNA replication is process by which a cell's DNA makes its own exact copy. The DNA's two strands serve as templates for the synthesis of a complementary daughter strand for themselves. The daughter strand remains attached to their template parental strand to result in new DNA copy having parental strand and the newly synthesized as its component strands. This model of replication is called 'semiconservative model of DNA replication'. The process involves 'DNA polymerase' and primase' enzymes. |
