Orthopnea or orthopnoea is shortness of breath that occurs when lying flat, causing the person to have to sleep propped up in bed or sitting in a chair. It is commonly seen as a late manifestation of heart failure, resulting from fluid redistribution into the central circulation, causing an increase in pulmonary capillary pressure. It is also seen in cases of abdominal obesity or pulmonary disease. Orthopnea is the opposite of platypnea, shortness of breath that worsens when sitting or standing up. 端坐呼吸指患者为了减轻呼吸困难被迫采取端坐位或半卧位的状态。端坐呼吸是一种强迫体位，又叫强迫坐位。心功能不全的患者端坐呼吸，可使下肢储存血增加，回心血量减少，减轻心脏负担，心功能不全的症状减轻。这是心衰更为严重的表现，出现端坐呼吸提示心力衰竭已有明显肺淤血。针对原发病治疗，去除诱发因素。 |
