A Health Entity is any health care service provider or organization, governed by a single corporate body and delivering clinical care in one or more locations under one or more corporate names, to individual patients or groups of patients, and where the predominant funding is from public sources. In relation to ElectronicHealthInformation the entity may be represented by a server, URI or URL associated with a healthcare service provider or organization which may or may not be within the "scope" i.e. within the geographic boundaries of the WWLHIN. An entity must deliver care from one or more geographic location within the healthcare system, but the corporate head office may be from outside the boundaries of the healthcare system. Scope: Related to HealthEntities operating within the regional geographic boundary of the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network.
