Bancaud 1981 Affective symptomatology. Sensation of extreme pleasure or displeasure, as well as fear and intense depression with feelings of unworthiness and rejection may be experienced during seizures. Unlike those of psychiatrically induced depression, these symptoms tend to come in attacks latsting for a few minutes. Anger or rage is occasionally experienced, but unlike temper tantrums, epileptic anger is apparently unprovoked, and abates rapidly. Fear or terror is the most frequent symptom; It is sudden in onset, usually unprovoked, and may lead to running away. Assocaited with terror, there are freeuqntly objective signs or autonomic activity, inlcuding pupil dilatation, pallor flusing, piloerection, palpation, and hypertension. Blume 2001 Affective: Components include fear, depression, joy, and (rarely) anger.
