The reproductive system of the male consists of the testes, the vasa deferentia, the ejaculatory duct and two pairs of accessory glands. The testes are located on the anterior portion of the abdominal cavity, one on each side of the anterior testine. Each testis consists of six free follicles. The vasa deferentia are somewhat convoluted tubules which extend posteriorly from the testes to the ejaculatory. Just before joining this structure they dilate, forming the seminal vesicles. The ejaculatory duct is a short but broad tube narrowing posteriorly before joining the median lobe of the aedeagus. The two pairs of accessory glands join the ejaculatory duct at its anterior end. |
