Scope Statement |
A phenotype characterized by large dental pulp chambers in the molars, with the taurodont tooth situated deep in the ALVEOLAR PROCESS. It was a common trait in early humans, currently occurs in 2.5% of Caucasians, and at a higher frequency in INUIT populations. Inheritance may be autosomal recessive or polygenic. OMIM: 272700 |
