Form of granulomatous uveitis occurring in the region of the pars plana. This disorder is a common condition with no detectable focal pathology. It causes fibrovascular proliferation at the inferior ora serrata. An inflammatory disorder of the cilliary body in the uvea that affects healthy, younger individuals who are often asymptomatic. It has a long clinical course with relapses and remissions. Symptoms include mildly decreased vision and floaters. It may be associated with autoimmune disorders. |
