Visibility Public
Description VEMO (Veterinary Epidemiology Metadata Ontology) is a metadata ontology for describing veterinary epidemiological datasets. It provides a structured framework for documenting dataset metadata, including general information (title, creators, format), data description (spatial/temporal scope, resolution, subject unit), and data quality metrics. VEMO extends established vocabularies (DCAT, PROV-O, DQV, FOAF, SKOS) via rdfs:subClassOf relationships, ensuring full interoperability with existing Linked Open Data standards. Developed to support the DECIDE project, VEMO enables researchers to assess dataset fitness-for-purpose in animal health surveillance and disease monitoring contexts., A lightweight application ontology that aligns a veterinary epidemiology metadata template to existing vocabularies (DCAT, DCTERMS, SKOS, OBO/OBI). Version 0.2 includes full DQV integration with proper Dimensions, Metrics, and Quality Measurements. Complete coverage of Appendix 1-3 metadata requirements. , and Quality Measurements. Complete coverage of Appendix 1-3 metadata requirements.
