Lesion is characterized by interstitial granulomatous inflammation often with epithelioid cells and multinucleated giant cells, crystal deposition or evidence of blockage of the ureters (e.g. proteinaceous plug in male mice). (INHAND) Nephropathy that is caused by an impediment to flow in the urinary tract.
