| Scope Statement | NOTE: To search for cases of more specific pathology, the following SMQs could be considered: Acute pancreatitis (SMQ); Gastrointestinal perforation, ulceration, haemorrhage or obstruction (SMQ); and Pseudomembranous colitis (SMQ). The concept of laxative abuse is no longer part of Gastrointestinal nonspecific dysfunction (SMQ); if a user finds that it would be helpful in case identification, LLT Laxative abuse could be added to the user's query.
