Simulation Delivery and Documentation Deviations

Description: The taxonomy was developed to facilitate quality assurance in the delivery of high-fidelity simulation (HFS) scenarios (mannequin-based medical simulations). It provides standardized descriptors of simulation delivery deviations, and enables researchers to quantify the impact that scenario delivery and documentation deviations have upon participant performance. Though created specifically for high-fidelity mannequin-based simulation, the taxonomy can be applied to other simulation modalities.

Institution: University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Winter Institute for Simulation Education and Research (WISER)
