Description | The SeMAntic RepresenTation for Protocols, SMART Protocols, provides a structured OWL vocabulary of experimental protocols. SMART Protocols ontology includes two modules, SP-document and SP-workflow. SP-document, aims to provide a structured vocabulary of concepts to represent information necessary and sufficient for reporting an experimental protocol. SP-Workflow represents: i) the executable elements of a protocol, protocol instructions; ii) the experimental actions and material entities that participates in instructions (sample/specimen, organisms, reagents, instruments); and iii) the order of execution of the instructions. |
