| discussion | Physical property classes are categorized according to the analytical domain in which they have meaning. For example, OPB:Dynamical properties apply to the domain of dynamical systems for which the concepts of thermodynamics have meaning, whereas OPB:Spatial properties apply to spatial and geometrical concepts that have no thermodynamic meaning.
In keeping with Gruber's Ontology of engineering mathematics (OEM), instances of OPB:Physical property “exist as values that are related to, but independent of units and numbers…and can be compared, multiplied, etc., without ever converting to reals or considering units of measure.
{Gruber, T.R. and G.R. Olsen. An Ontology for Engineering Mathematics. in Fourth International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. 1994. Gustav Stressman Institut, Bonn, Germany: Morgan Kaufmann.}
