host pathogen interaction

Definitions
A process that involves an interaction between a host and a pathogen which can be a virus, bacterium, parasite, fungus, etc. Potentially we can list 'host-pathogen interaction' as a subclass of GO:interaction with host (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/GO_0051701). However, the GO term is a subclass of "interspecies interaction between organisms". Literally, a virus is not considered as an organism, but a virus is a pathogen. Therefore, this GO term (GO_0051701) may not be appropriate as the parent term of 'host-pathogen interaction'. -- Edison and Oliver
