definition |
Definition: Presbycusis, or age-related hearing loss, is a common cause of hearing loss in adults worldwide. Here we want to encompass: hearing loss, decreased hearing, presbycusis.
Hearing loss is frequently present in the elderly patient, which is the main group of donors in the NBB. We think it is valuable to know, because it can have an influence on the disease course of patients with a neurodegenerative disorder.
