The ethanolate form of darunavir, a human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) protease nonpeptidic inhibitor, with activity against HIV. This inhibits the proteolytic cleavage of viral Gag and Gag-Pol polyproteins in HIV-infected cells.
