Definitions |
A molecular function phenotype in which the binding of one protein to another occurs to a greater extent than normal. The relevant proteins may include the one encoded by the mutated gene, or may both be encoded by different genes.
This term can be used for any protein-protein interaction that is affected by a mutation, whether or not the mutated gene product is one of the interacting proteins. We recommend noting which proteins were used in the assay when annotating to this term.
