Domesticated at the same time as emmer wheat, but never reached the same importance. * Emmer (Triticum dicoccon) A tetraploid species, cultivated in ancient times but no longer in widespread use. * Spelt (Triticum spelta) Another hexaploid species cultivated in limited quantities. |
