The epithelium of prostatic urethra (eprur) (TS:28) is the innermost layer of the prostatic urethra, a stratified epithelium lining the lumen. It is subdivided into dorsal and ventral. It is also subdivided into three epithelial cell layers; superficial, intermediate and basal cell layer of prostatic urethra. The raised, dorsal portion of the male urethra where the prostate glands and orifices of the ejaculatory ducts enter the urethra is the verumontanum (syn: seminal colliculus).
