Definitions
Alignment (superimposition) of molecular tertiary (3D) structures. A tertiary structure alignment will include the untransformed coordinates of one macromolecule, followed by the second (or subsequent) structure(s) with all the coordinates transformed (by rotation / translation) to give a superposition.
