Mitogen-induced phospholipase D-dependent phosphatidic acid interacts with the mTOR rapamycin target domain. Cellular stress inhibits MTOR activity by stabilizing MTOR-RAPTOR binding, which also promotes MTOR phosphorylation of 4EBP1 and enhances MTOR activity toward S6K1. MTOR binds UBQLN1.
