| DesignNote | Fibronectin can be cleaved to form Ugl-Y1, Ugl-Y2, Ugl-Y3 and anastellin. (UniProt)
Anastellin is a 76 amino acid fragment from carboxy-terminal portion of the first fibronectin type-III domain with potential antiangiogenic activity. Anastellin binds fibronectin and induces fibril formation; the resulting fibronectin polymer, superfibronectin, exhibits enhanced adhesive properties and may also inhibit angiogenesis. (UniProt)
