Multi-tissue structure that is a fluid-filled canal in the integument and usually dermal bones, and contains one or more neuromast organs.

Comment:

Sensory canals usually communicate with the environment via pores in the sensory canal or at the distal ends of tubules, which extend from canal where pores would otherwise be.
