Definition:

The description of Information, event, object or state of being that are being measured for a study. A study outcome specification is a description of an outcome being studied aggregated over a population of subjects (e.g., count of subject outcome of specific kind, average of subject outcome). It may aggregated over other study outcome measures (e.g., proportional hazard model, really any multivariable analysis). An outcome is analyzed using some statistical method.
