Definitions:

A trace amine associated receptor 1-4 that is a translation product of the TAAR1 gene. The preferred ligands of the human protein are trace amines, including beta-phenylethylamine, p-tyramine, octopamine and tryptamine. It is unresponsive to amines such as epinephrine and histamine and only partially activated by dopamine and serotonine.
