Synonyms:

"carcinoma antigen GA733"

"GA733"

Definitions:

A protein with a core domain architecture consisting of a large N-terminal extracellular region, a single-pass transmembrane region and a very small cytoplasmic region. The extracellular region is composed of three distinct domains: a novel cysteine-rich N-terminal domain (GA733 type 1 motif), a cysteine-rich thyroglobulin type 1A domain (Thyroglobulin type-1 repeat (PF00086)), and a unique nonglycosylated domain without cysteines (GA733 type 3 motif). It is an unusual cell-cell adhesion protein that does not exhibit any obvious relationship to the four known classes of adhesion molecules.
